A series of breathtaking photographs by the renowned French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand – best known for his book and photo exhibition Earth From Above – depict what is at stake.
17 world-famous figures join with 17 artists and 17 inspiring local heroes to share their personal stories and perspectives on the SDGs, each setting out, in their own words, why it is so important that we all commit to a better future for all.

Among those featured in the book you will find Glenn Close, Sir Richard Branson, Bianca Jagger, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Yeoh, Betrand Piccard and Paul Polman. The 17 inspiring and indefatigable local heroes who are helping to change the world include Zainab Salbi, Celine Cousteau and Dr Evan Atar Adaha. The 17 artists selected by ART 2030, who show how the SDGs relate to their work, include Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, DougAitken and Olafur Eliasson.
